Curlew Cottages are a local specialist in Holiday Cottages based in the
beautiful cinque port of Sandwich, Kent. We personally select all of the
cottages we have to offer and regularly inspect them to ensure they are
maintained to the highest possible standard. We have many seaside cottages covering Kent towns such as
Canterbury, Dover and Whitstable. If you choose to stay in one of these seaside cottages
you can access many interesting and historic towns, and some beautiful undiscovered countryside.
East Kent can offer something for everyone. Whether it’s a relaxing day on an
unspoilt beach, a day visiting the many cultural and historic attractions in the
area or just time spent shopping and sampling culinary delights, you won’t be
disappointed.
For a relaxing day visit picturesque Sandwich with its timber
framed buildings and fascinating history. Take a boat trip from the quay to try
and spot a seal or visit secluded and unspoilt Sandwich Bay and relax amongst
the sand dunes.
Dover and Deal offer unique seaside attractions - from the long
empty shingle beaches of old Medieval Deal, to the unspoilt sand of St.
Margarets Bay and the busy streets and shopping of Dover's sea front. Visit the
historic castles in the area or venture further afield to France on a ferry from
Dover.
Ramsgate has plenty to offer with its sandy coastline and busy marina.
After some sunbathing and swimming or maybe even a water sport or two, sit back
at one of the waterside cafes and watch the boats go by. The ‘Jewel in Thanet’s
Crown’ – Broadstairs waits for you with its quirky side streets, beautiful
beaches, cultural festivals and celebrations.
The many historical and cultural
attractions of the Canterbury are not to be missed. As well as the cathedral
with its stunning architecture there are many other cultural and historical
attractions to keep you entertained. Or just browse the many shops that line the
high street or relax in the park.
A visit to Whitstable is not to be missed.
Sample the ‘fruits de mer’ at this town famous for its oysters. Relax on the
beach or try your hand at waterskiing.
